Meet Gavin

I setup GC Consulting in November 2023 after completing my own self build home with my wife. It was a journey that started back in early 2021 when successfully purchased a site after many setbacks on others. Our dream home was ready to begin. Designing, planning, spending money, talking about what we wanted etc. We done our research and took things from other plans we had seen. We engaged an architect who ably assisted us along the way. Having worked in the construction industry for 15years I knew I could deliver our dream home. So I set out to plan, price, plan, organise, plan and control the process, materials, labour and everything in between. It was a highly enjoyable experience (yes it was stressful at times) but being able to move my family in to a completed home made me extremely happy and proud. 

That's when I thought, there are many people on their own self build journeys- I can help them. So GC Consulting was born. 

My focus and goal was to offer practical, condensed services to cover all aspects of a self build from initial planning- providing budget costs to doing full costs for projects ready to hit the ground to utility provider application assistance and project management consultation.
